Most people can point to one person who changed how they saw their own Judaism. Usually it was not a teacher or a rabbi. It was someone a few steps ahead who took them seriously.
Olami Together pairs Jewish students with a Growth Partner: someone who meets them regularly, learns with them a little, and stays in their corner. We are looking for volunteers to take one or two students.

You meet online, at a time you both choose. Most pairs meet weekly.
You need to be a few steps ahead, honest about what you do not know, and reliable. We give you material to learn from together, so you are never staring at a blank page.
You are not handed a student and left alone. There is someone to ask when you are not sure what to say.
People who have their own regular learning, in whatever form. People who remember being the student. People who can hold a commitment for a semester rather than a fortnight.
